Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Mexican-German bass-baritone Sebastian Wittmoser Herrera is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Opera at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studies with internationally acclaimed bass-baritone Alan Held.

He earned his Bachelor's degree in Music and Innovation with a specialization in Classical Voice, graduating with honors, from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, studying with Gabriela Herrera while also receiving musical guidance from Carsten Wittmoser.

His artistic development has been enriched through masterclasses with Sir Bryn Terfel, Elīna Garanča, Francisco Araiza, John Relyea, J'Nai Bridges, Amanda Majeski, Iván López Reynoso, Ugo Mahieux, Stefano de Peppo, and Anne Sofie von Otter. He has also worked with renowned coaches including Grant Loehnig, Miloš Repický, Lynn Baker, Matthieu Cognet, Danielle Orlando, Susan Nowicki, Stefano Baldasseroni, Nikolay Verevkin, Ting Ting Wong, among others.

Recent operatic engagements include Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Leporello and Masetto in Don Giovanni, Plutone in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, Peter Quince in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Giordano in Iain Bell's Stonewall, and the bass soloist in Kaija Saariaho's La Passion de Simone. As a concert soloist, he has also performed the bass solos in Handel's Messiah.

Upcoming engagements include Elder Ott in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah, Rodomonte (cover) in Haydn's Orlando paladino, and Arkel in Debussy's Pelléas et Mélisande.
